Charles County may experience severe weather during the afternoon and evening of March 16th.  Please monitor local weather reports, Citizen Notification System (CNS), the Charles County Government website, and social media for updates.

 Operations Status:

• Charles County Government is open with liberal leave
• The Charles County Welcome Center is closing at 2 p.m.
• All Senior Centers are closing at 2 p.m.   
• The Waldorf Senior and Recreational Center (WSRC) and Elite Gymnastics are closing at 2:30 p.m.
• All afternoon/evening recreation programs and activities are canceled at school-based centers and the Port Tobacco Recreation Center.
• All afternoon and evening activities and programs at Charles County Parks are canceled.
• Landfill and Recycling Centers are closing at 3 p.m.
• VanGO services shutdown from 3-6 p.m. (See VanGO section)

VanGO transit service will shutdown from 3-6 p.m.

• Routes originating from the 301 Park & Ride in Waldorf, will end between 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM. See schedule for times
• Routes originating from the La Plata Park & Ride, will end between 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM. See schedule for times
